The originals, untouched

Not exports, not compressed copies. The files exactly as the cameras wrote them, in folders you can open on any computer.

  • Every clip from every camera, in folders named for the camera it came from
  • Original 4K files at full bitrate — the same files our editors worked from
  • Clips keep their capture timestamps, so they sort into the order the night happened
  • The wireless mic recordings as separate audio, useful if you ever recut the speeches
  • Your finished film alongside it, in 4K and 1080p, plus the vertical cut if you ordered one
  • A plain index file listing what's in each folder and how long it runs

The drive itself

Capacity
1TB. More than any kit we ship produces, including four cameras across a full weekend. Four cameras at a long event runs 150–400GB.
Connection
USB-C, with a USB-A cable in the box. Works on a Mac, a PC, and most smart TVs. No power adapter, no driver, no software.
Format
exFAT. The one format both Mac and Windows read and write without being asked twice.
Video files
MP4, H.265 — the camera's own files, unaltered. Your finished film is also included as standard H.264 MP4, which plays on anything.
Price
$195 per drive. The same for every kit size — we don't charge more because your guests filmed more. Extra copies are the same price each.
Shipping
Free, tracked, US addresses. Plain packaging, same as the kit.
Ships
With your film, or shortly after. The download link for the film still arrives by email on the normal schedule — you don't wait for the post to see it.
Warranty
If it arrives dead, we ship another. Tell us within 30 days and we'll replace it from our copy at no cost.

How long we keep your files

  • Twelve monthsWe hold your raw footage for twelve months after delivery, then destroy it. Order a drive any time inside that window
  • OfflineOn drives in our studio, powered off. Not in a cloud account, not on a server anyone can reach from the internet
  • Why it existsSo a lost or dead drive is a replacement, not a disaster. It's a safety net for us to fix things with — not your archive
  • On requestAsk and we destroy our copy as soon as your film and drive are delivered. You keep the only one

Before you order

Do I need this if I already have the film?

Most people don't. The film is the thing you'll actually watch, and it's finished. Order the drive if you want the unedited version — the whole toast rather than the twenty seconds of it, the conversations nobody was performing for, the material for a longer cut years from now.

Why would I order more than one?

Because two sets of parents want a copy and nobody wants to be the one who copies 300GB by hand. Each drive is a full duplicate, priced the same, shipped to the same address unless you tell us otherwise.

Do I need an existing order?

Yes. The drive is a copy of your footage, so there has to be footage. Order with the email you booked under and we'll match it. If you haven't booked yet, add the drive at checkout with your kit.

When can I order it?

Any time up to twelve months after we deliver your film — that's how long we keep the files. Before your edit is finished is easiest; after that we pull it from our copy.

Can I get it as a download instead?

We'll send a link on request. Read the size figure above first: for a two-camera kit it's usually fine, for four cameras it's most of a day over home wifi and it fails halfway more often than it finishes.

Is the footage edited or cleaned up at all?

No. That's the point. Shaky clips, false starts, thirty seconds of someone's pocket — it's all there, exactly as recorded.

Who owns what's on it?

You do, completely. We ask separately whether we can show a clip publicly, and the answer defaults to no.

Can you ship it somewhere other than my home?

Yes. Give us the address at checkout, or tell us any time before it goes out. US addresses only.
