01

The basics

What this is, and whether it's right for your event.

How does this actually work?

You book online and pick a package. Five days before your event a case arrives with cameras charged, labeled and ready. You hand them out on the day and forget about them. Afterward you drop the case at any carrier using the prepaid label inside, our editors go through every clip, and you get a rough cut for notes before the final film lands in your inbox.

Who does the filming?

Your guests. Not one appointed person — the cameras move around. The best footage almost always comes from whoever talks to everyone: a sibling, a cousin, the friend who knows all the names. You don't need to assign roles or brief anyone.

Is this a replacement for a photographer?

No. We don't shoot stills, and we'd tell you to keep your photographer. This replaces a videographer, or fills the gap if you were never going to hire one.

Can we use this alongside a videographer?

Plenty of people do. A professional covers the scheduled moments from a fixed position; your guests cover everything the tripod can't reach. We can deliver a separate film that sits next to their edit, or hand over the raw clips for their editor to use.

How long is the finished film?

It depends on the kit and on how much your guests actually shot. Two cameras usually yields three to four minutes, four cameras five to seven, and the editing-only package three to five. We edit to what's there rather than padding to hit a number.

What kinds of events do you cover?

Weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, quinceañeras, sweet sixteens, graduations, anniversaries, gender reveals, bachelorette weekends and milestone birthdays each have their own page. Anything else — a reunion, a retirement, a christening — book any kit and tell us in the notes.

02

Booking and payment

What you pay, when you pay it, and what happens if plans change.

Do I pay everything up front?

Your choice. Pay in full at booking, or hold the date with a $149 deposit and we'll charge the balance automatically eight weeks before your event. The deposit option appears at checkout whenever your event is more than 30 days away, and the deposit itself is refundable for 30 days. Nothing else is required from you in between.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel more than 60 days before your ship date for a full refund. Between 60 and 14 days, we refund everything except the deposit. Inside 14 days the kit is packed and routed, so it's non-refundable. If you're postponing rather than cancelling, see the next question — that's free.

What if the date moves?

Tell us and we'll move the booking at no cost, as long as it's more than seven days before the ship date. Inside seven days there's a $60 rebooking fee because the kit is already packed. There's no limit on how many times a date can move.

Can I add cameras or add-ons after booking?

Yes, any time up until the kit ships.

Is there a deposit or hold on my card for the equipment?

No. The $149 hold-the-date deposit is part of your order price, not a security deposit — we don't hold anything against the equipment and we don't pre-authorize your card for it. If a camera is lost or destroyed we invoice for it after the fact, and only then.

03

Before the event

The kit arrives with days to spare. Here's what to do with it.

When does the kit arrive?

Five days before your event, with tracking sent as soon as it leaves us. That buffer is deliberate: it gives you time to test everything and gives us time to overnight a replacement if something's wrong.

What's actually in the box?

Your cameras, charged and labeled, and a free wireless clip-on mic for each one. A battery handle and a charging dock. Wrist straps, a tabletop tripod, formatted memory cards already installed, printed table cards that explain the idea to guests in one line, and a prepaid return label taped inside the lid.

Do the cameras arrive ready to use?

Fully charged, formatted and firmware-checked. Take two minutes when the box lands to record a few seconds on each one and play it back. If anything looks off, message us the same day.

What if a camera isn't working?

Tell us as soon as you've tested it and we'll ship a replacement to reach you before the date. This is the entire reason the kit arrives five days early rather than the day before.

Can you ship somewhere other than my home?

Yes — a venue, a hotel, an office, a friend's place. Add it as the shipping address or leave a note at checkout. Boxes are plain on the outside with no branding, which matters for surprise parties.

Can we take the cameras out of the country?

You can fly with them — they're small and travel easily. We don't ship internationally, so the kit goes to your US address and comes back from a US address. If you'll be away longer than ten days, email us before booking so we can plan the return.

How much footage fits on a camera?

We supply 512GB cards, which hold several hours of 4K per camera. Running out of space is not a realistic failure mode. Running out of battery is — see the next section.

04

On the day

You hand them out. That's genuinely the whole job.

How do guests know what to do?

One button starts and stops recording. The camera stabilizes, focuses and orients itself. The table cards in the box explain it in a sentence, and we text a two-minute video to whoever you name as the kit owner. Nobody needs a briefing.

How many cameras do we need?

Two covers an intimate event under about 60 guests. Four is the common choice for 60 to 150 and gives you enough angles to cut between. If you already have footage of your own and don't need cameras at all, the editing-only package covers just the edit. If you're between sizes, message us with your guest count and venue and we'll tell you honestly.

Will the batteries last the whole event?

The camera is rated at 166 minutes, but that figure is measured at 1080p with the screen off — treat it as a ceiling. Plan on 90 to 120 minutes of real recording per charge. Every kit includes a battery handle and a charging dock, and most people rotate cameras onto the dock during dinner, which covers the rest of the night comfortably.

Do the cameras record sound?

Three microphones each, in stereo, with wind reduction. Every camera kit also includes a free wireless clip-on mic per camera, which is what you want on speeches and vows. The editing-only package ships nothing, so no mics come with it. For speeches and ceremonies keep one camera reasonably close to whoever's talking — audio from across a loud room is the single most common regret we hear.

Do you include tripods?

A tabletop tripod is in every kit, which is useful for a fixed angle during speeches or a ceremony. We don't send full-size tripods; the cameras are stabilized and a tripod mostly gets in the way at a party.

Is there anything the cameras can't handle?

Water. They aren't waterproof, so rain, pools and the ocean will end one. Beyond that: a camera left face-up on a table films the ceiling beautifully, and very long unbroken takes drain the battery faster than short bursts.

Do we need an app, wifi or a phone?

No. Nothing to pair, download or sign into. The cameras record to their own cards and we handle everything from there.

05

Sending the kit back

One drop-off. The label is already in the box.

How do I return everything?

Put it back in the case, seal it, and hand it to any carrier counter or drop box. The prepaid label is inside the lid. No printing, no weighing, no paying. Everything that arrived goes back, mics included — the wireless mics are part of the kit, not a keepsake, so check the case for all of them before you seal it.

How soon does it need to go back?

In transit within five days of your event. After day seven we charge $25 per day, because that kit is booked for someone else's date.

We're leaving on a trip right after. What then?

Very common — ask someone to return it for you and tell us who. If you'd rather take the kit with you, email us before booking and we'll extend the window.

06

The edit

What our editors do with a few hundred clips.

How long until we get the film?

Four weeks on the two-camera kit, three on four cameras, four on editing-only — counted from when the kit reaches us, or from when your upload lands on editing-only, not from your event date. Peak season can add a week, and we'll tell you upfront if that applies.

Can we choose the music?

Yes. Every film is cut to a pre-cleared library track at no extra cost, so it's safe to post anywhere. If you want a specific commercial song, we clear the license for it as an add-on. Tell us after the event — you don't need to decide in advance.

Can we ask for changes?

Two rounds of notes are included on every order. You'll see a rough cut first, which is the right moment to ask for a different track, a different order, more of one person or less of another.

Can we keep something out of the film?

Yes. Flag it in your notes — a person, a moment, an entire hour of the night — and it won't appear. If you spot something at the rough cut stage, that's what the review round is for.

What if our guests didn't film very much?

You don't pay for a film we can't make. If the kit comes back without enough usable footage to cut anything, we refund your order minus a 20% restocking fee on the package price — the kit was held and shipped for a date we couldn't rent to anyone else. Add-ons are refunded in full. It's rare: the common problem is too much footage, not too little, and we always show you what came back before making that call.

Do you edit in languages other than English?

Our editors work in English and Spanish. The film keeps whatever language your family is speaking — we don't dub or subtitle unless you ask. Note it at checkout and we'll assign accordingly.

07

Your film and your footage

What you receive, and how long we hold it.

How is the film delivered?

A download link by email, as standard MP4 files in both 4K and 1080p. Nothing proprietary, no app, no account to create.

Will it play on a TV, or on my grandmother's phone?

Yes. MP4 plays on essentially everything — smart TVs, laptops, phones, tablets, a USB stick in the back of a television.

Do we get the original clips?

Yes, as an add-on on any package. It arrives as a 1TB drive in the mail with every clip on it, sorted by camera — not a download link. Four cameras can produce a few hundred gigabytes, which is a miserable thing to pull down over home wifi onto a laptop that has no room for it. The film is the edit; the drive is the archive. More about the drive.

How long do you keep our files?

Twelve months after delivery, on offline drives in our studio — not in a cloud account. After twelve months they're destroyed. That window is a safety net, not your copy: if you ordered the footage drive, the drive is your archive, and if you didn't, download your film as soon as the link arrives.

Do we get a vertical cut for social?

A 60-second vertical version comes with the four-camera kit. On the two-camera kit and editing-only it's available on request.

08

Damage, loss and privacy

The parts worth reading before you book.

What if a camera gets dropped?

Expected and covered. These get passed between dozens of people at a party — scuffs, scratches and drops are normal wear and we don't charge for them.

What if one is lost or destroyed?

The replacement fee is $325 per camera and $45 per wireless mic, invoiced only if it actually happens. We always try to recover the footage first. Water damage falls under this, since it usually ends the camera.

Who owns the footage and the film?

You do, completely. We ask separately whether we can show a clip publicly, and the answer defaults to no.

What if we don't want any of this shared?

Nothing is shared. That's our standard on every order — never posted, never shown as an example — and there's no box to tick for it. You can name one person to approve the cut in your order notes, and if you ask, we delete the raw footage once your film is delivered.

Something we didn't cover?

Ask before you book. We'd rather talk you out of the wrong kit size than sell you one.
