Anniversary kit

Your anniversary, filmed by everyone there, edited by us

Nobody filmed the first one. Cameras arrive at your door, the family films dinner, and our editors cut a film with every voice at the table in it — including the ones that don’t usually get recorded.

Your guests get a plan, not a lecture

Every anniversary kit ships with table cards that explain the camera in one sentence and name six things worth pointing it at. It's a seated dinner, so the cards go at the place settings — which is also how the relatives who hate being filmed end up filming something.

My father is not a talker. Someone put a camera in front of him at the end of the night and he spoke for six minutes about my mother. That clip is the whole reason we did this.

Still doing research? Or is the anniversary later this year?

Join the list and we’ll send you a reminder in good time — while there is still room to plan it properly. We’ll also check whether there is anything we can help you work out before then.

A rough guess is fine. We only use it to time the reminder.

Anniversary specifics

Can the film include old photographs or home video?

Yes, and on this event it's usually the better opening. Send scans or a transfer of whatever exists — the wedding album, an 8mm reel someone had digitised — and we'll build them into the front of the film before the dinner footage starts. If that's all you have and there's no party, editing-only covers just the edit.

Our guests are in their eighties. Can they actually work these?

One button. Press to start, press to stop, wrist strap on. There is no phone, no app, no pairing, no menu and nothing to sign into, which is a bigger deal for this guest list than for any other event we ship to. The camera focuses and steadies itself.

Can we set a camera up as an interview station and leave it?

That's the format most anniversaries end up using. Tabletop tripod, quiet corner, one printed question next to it, and people will talk to it all evening. Add the prompt cards at checkout if you want the question written for you. The camera shuts itself off if it sits untouched for a while, so it won't run flat waiting.

It's a two-hour lunch, not a party. Is there enough to cut?

Yes — more than a party of the same length, usually. An interview station running for two hours produces more usable material than four hours of a dance floor, because people are speaking to camera instead of moving past it. Two cameras is the right size for it.

We're renewing vows and having dinner the same day.

One kit covers both. Keep one camera on the tabletop tripod for the renewal itself so you have a steady wide angle, and let the second one move. Tell us both parts are on the same day and we'll cut them as one film.

What if there isn't enough footage to cut a film?

You don't pay for the edit. If the kit comes back without enough usable material to cut a film, the editing charge and every add-on are refunded in full. You keep paying only the kit rental — 20% of the package price, less than the rental is worth on its own — because the cameras were held and shipped for a date we couldn't book to anyone else. It's rare, and we show you what came back before we make that call.

These are the anniversary questions. Booking, shipping, batteries, sound, returns and delivery are all answered in the full question list. Filming something else? See all event types. Want the numbers? See what filming an anniversary party costs where you live, with every figure sourced.
