Wedding kit

Your wedding, filmed by your guests, edited by us

The people in your front row are already the best camera crew you could hire. We ship them pocket 4K cameras, they pass them around all day, and our editors cut the film — the toast, the first look, the aunt who would not leave the dance floor.

Your guests get a plan, not a lecture

A wedding is the one event with assigned seating, so the shot list actually works: a card at every place setting explains the camera in a sentence and names six things worth pointing it at. Nobody gets appointed the videographer, and nobody spends the reception being one.

We booked a photographer and skipped the videographer to stay on budget. Four cameras went around the room all night and the film we got back has my grandmother in it, singing. That's the part I watch.

Still doing research? Or is the wedding later this year?

Join the list and we’ll send you a reminder in good time — while there is still room to plan it properly. We’ll also check whether there is anything we can help you work out before then.

A rough guess is fine. We only use it to time the reminder.

Wedding specifics

Who hands the cameras out? We'll be getting ready.

Not you — that's the point. Give the case to whoever is already running the timeline: the planner, the coordinator, the maid of honour. They take four cameras out of it, put one in each getting-ready room, and carry the other two to the ceremony. You don't touch it again until the reception.

Our ceremony is unplugged. Does this contradict that?

It doesn't, as long as you name the people holding cameras. Unplugged is about a hundred guests holding glowing phones at chest height in the aisle. Two or three named people with a pocket camera is what couples used to ask a cousin to do anyway. Tell the officiant who they are and it reads as intentional.

Where should the clip-on mics go?

One on the officiant for the vows and one on whoever is speaking at the reception, moved between speeches. Room audio from twenty feet back during a toast is the single thing people wish they'd fixed. The mics are included with every camera kit, so there's nothing to add at checkout.

We have a welcome party Friday and a brunch Sunday. Can one kit cover all three?

Yes. The kit lands five days before the wedding and only needs to be in transit back within five days after it, so a Friday-to-Sunday weekend sits comfortably inside the window. Say so in your notes and we'll cut the weekend as one film rather than three.

Can the film avoid the ceremony entirely?

Some couples already have a professionally shot ceremony and want this to be everything else — the rooms beforehand, cocktail hour, the reception after the pro leaves. Tell us and we'll build the film around that instead. It usually runs closer to the party than to the day.

What if there isn't enough footage to cut a film?

You don't pay for the edit. If the kit comes back without enough usable material to cut a film, the editing charge and every add-on are refunded in full. You keep paying only the kit rental — 20% of the package price, less than the rental is worth on its own — because the cameras were held and shipped for a date we couldn't book to anyone else. It's rare, and we show you what came back before we make that call.

These are the wedding questions. Booking, shipping, batteries, sound, returns and delivery are all answered in the full question list. Filming something else? See all event types. Want the numbers? See what a wedding videographer costs in your city, with every figure sourced.
