What filming your event actually costs, market by market

A wedding videographer averages $2,300 nationally per The Knot and $3,993 per Zola, and neither number tells you what it costs where you live. These pages do, one market at a time, with every figure attributed to the source it came from.

Set against that: four Recorderly 4K cameras with a wireless microphone on each, shipped free anywhere in the country and back, for $795.

As of August 2026. Prices and averages change.

Where these numbers come from

Every figure on these pages is attributed. National and regional averages are The Knot's 2026 Real Weddings Study, a survey of 10,474 US couples married in 2025. Metro figures come from Zola's Wedding Cost Index where it publishes one, and otherwise from a named studio quoting its own market, linked on the page. Nothing is estimated from a cost-of-living index and presented as a survey result — a market with no published local figure gets the regional average, labelled as the regional average.
